In this lesson, we will consider three popular screening tools which are available. Summary:
Based on the information we have given you in this short course, there are two main strategies in which pupils’ learning can be supported through the use of overlearning. These are:

Repetition – ensure that there are as many opportunities as possible for pupils to rehearse skills and go over key facts.

Spaced Presentation – plan for repeated learning of key facts and skills over time at intervals over time.


Pupil and School Support advocate the use of overlearning to support pupils. Our purpose-built ‘Overlearning Games’ are available for schools in Birmingham to use. Please ask your advisory teacher for a copy of the games.
