Parent Carer Support

Our aim in Birmingham is to work closely with parents and carers, together with your child’s early years’ setting, school or college, and other professionals, to achieve the best outcome for your child.

In this section

This section of the Local Offer website explains the different ways you can be involved in your child’s education.

As a parent or carer, your role is vital in helping us to provide the right support for your child throughout their education journey.

Parent Carer Forum

The Birmingham Parent Carer Forum (BPCF) is a voluntary and independent group of Birmingham parents and carers whose purpose is to become the bridge between services and families and a collective voice representing all members and all disabilities.

How can I get involved with Birmingham Parent Carer Forum?

If you are a parent or carer of a child or young person (aged 0 – 25) with special educational needs or disabilities who lives in Birmingham, or whose child uses Birmingham education, health or social care services, you can become a member of the forum!

However much or little you choose to get involved you will be helping to make a difference to the services that matter so much to our children.
