About the SEND Local Offer Website
The SEND Local Offer is a single place for information, services, support and resources for children and young people aged 0-25 with special educational needs and / or disabilities, their families, parent and carers. It’s been co-produced and is designed to offer the best help available for children and young people with additional needs. We have a video which will explain more about what the SEND Local Offer website includes.
The SEND Local Offer website also includes a section for practitioners who can also access resources, materials and information here too.
The SEND Code of Practice (2014) states that every Local Authority must make their ‘Local Offer’ (the provision that they offer for children and young people with additional needs) public on an easily accessible website.
The website includes information, where systems and processes are explained, such as how to get support for a child with additional needs, or who to speak to if you’re worried about your child’s progress. This support comes from a range of services across education, health and social care.
It also includes a directory of services, clubs, support groups and locality help which you can search for additional support.
We are always pleased to hear your feedback on your site so please feel free to use the feedback button ‘pop up’ or the link at the foot of every page.
