Description
Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS’s Paediatric Dental Service provides specialist NHS dental care for children up to age 16 who need additional support, expert treatment or help managing anxiety during dental procedures. The experienced team treats a range of needs including nervous or anxious children, those requiring sedation such as inhalation or IV sedation or general anaesthetic for dental work, children with special needs or complex treatment needs. They are across multiple community and hospital-based clinics in Birmingham. Care is provided by specialists and consultant-led teams and is accessed by referral from a child’s regular dentist or other health professionals, ensuring tailored, compassionate dental support for young patients.
