Understanding your Role and Responsibilities as the Strategic SENCo

Overview

This course is Day 4 of a sequence of SENCo induction sessions being held throughout the year. It is designed to provide those new to the SENCo role with an understanding of the strategic responsibilities in the SENCo role.

Who is it for?

This 1 day course is specifically designed for newly appointed SENCOs in Birmingham who are learning the role.

Course Outcomes:

To have an understanding of:

• The evidence of provision needed for statutory assessment requests
• The evidence required for EHCP reviews
• Target plans and what makes a good plan
• Ensuring implementation of provision in plans
