Ability Net

Description

Established in 1998, AbilityNet is a UK charity that helps disabled people and older adults make the most of technology. Their aim is to ensure everyone can access the digital tools and services they need to stay connected, independent, and informed.

The charity offers free technology support through a network of trained volunteers who can help with setting up devices, solving technical problems, and finding accessibility features that make computers, tablets, and smartphones easier to use.

AbilityNet supports people with a wide range of disabilities and additional needs, including physical disabilities, sensory impairments, learning difficulties, and neurodivergent conditions. They also provide online guides, factsheets, and practical advice for individuals, families, carers, and professionals.

We support individuals to use their device, whether through inbuilt accessibility or recommendations on paid for handware/software.
