The Vision Support Team provide a range of news and information from charities that support children, young people and their families with a vision Impairment.
- Look UK –Â Supporting young people with vision impairment
- Blind in Business – The Blind in Business Employment Service is designed to help blind and partially sighted students and graduates prepare for and find jobs within their chosen careers
- Focus Birmingham – Sight loss support charity offering services to Birmingham residents
- VICTA – National charity empowering children and young adults who are blind or partially sighted and their families across the UK
- SENSE – For all ages experiencing complex disabilities and or deaf-blindness
- Guide Dogs UK – For help and support with living actively, independently and well with sight loss
- Visionary – Offering support for access to locally delivered services for those living with sight loss
- RNIB Bookshare – Join the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) to access accessible books, which can also be adapted by our reprographics team
- Thomas Pocklington Trust – Thomas Pocklington Trust is a national charity which supports blind and partially sighted people with a focus on education, employment and engagement. It now has a new support service for students with vision impairment
- Nystagmus Network – Charity providing support and information for everyone living with the eye condition nystagmus.
- RSBC – Royal Society for Blind Children provide a combination of support for young people, parents, and carers in learning, development and social opportunities to help build resilience and skills.
- Retina UK – A charity supporting people (along with friends and families) affected by inherited sight loss. Including conditions i.e. retinitis pigmentosa (RP), Usher syndrome, Stargardt disease and Leber congenital amaurosis. They also invest in medical research to help make their challenges a thing of the past.
