Early Years: Strategies and Resources
You can use this guidance to support children in your setting. It is organised around the four broad areas of need and can help you to:
- recognise when a child may be finding something difficult
- understand what this might look like in the setting
- try practical strategies as part of everyday provision
Start by selecting an area of need. Use ‘What you might see’ to reflect on your observations, then explore ‘What you can try’ to support the child.
Strategies should be used flexibly and adapted to meet individual children’s needs.
