With the school term at an end, there are countless opportunities for children and young people with SEND to engage with clubs and holiday activities within their communities. Whether it is sports, arts, or outdoor events, Birmingham is rife with ways for families to make the most of their well earned break.

If you are unsure where to look, then the information below is a must read. It details all the different places where holiday activities are shared and promoted. Keep an eye on each of these channels, and you might just find something for you.

As a final note, we recommend first contacting any clubs or activities to be certain that they can provide the necessary provision for your child.

Social Media

In addition to the Local Offer website, we have two social media channels where we frequently share community support, clubs, and holiday activities available to SEND children and their families.

Please consider following us on both Facebook and Instagram to stay updated with organisations from the Local Area Partnership and other groups in the community. We are posting most days, particularly during the summer holidays where many activities are planned for the coming weeks. Click the icons below and follow our pages.

The Directory

The Local Offer Directory is a useful resource which details the support available to SEND children and their families. It lists organisations which provide practical advice and support, but also those which facilitate various clubs and holiday activities accessible across the city.

Do note that the listings reflect what is usually available, and so it is possible that offers might change in holiday times. We recommend contacting any organisations first to ensure that the desired club is running, and to check that they provide the correct provision for a child’s needs.
